A new year dawns. New hopes emerge.

Old ways must go for a new you to emerge. What are you so attached to, letting go of which will cause you to transform?

Go ahead, ask yourself! Happy New Year. Here’s to happy times. Good luck with meeting a new you. Same time next year.

You don’t go forward looking only at the rear view mirror. But the rear view mirror sometimes can show you pieces that make you, you.

This random pink bicycle on the rear view mirror of my parked car lead me to a zillion memories.
Of friends. Family. Childhood. Relationships. Life in itself. Memories of the roads we have taken to get to where we are put energy in our feet and add new meaning to a mundane day.

What do you keep in the background? What do you focus on? These are important lessons for a photographer.

Ages ago, as I fiddled with my first camera I got talking to someone to whom the camera was but an extension of his arm.

He said, I remember clearly, ‘a good photographer learns what to include in the frame. You get better by learning to keep out EVERYTHING that doesn’t add to the picture’

That lesson, I have learnt. applies to business. And to life as well.

Tell me, how blessed are you?

Travel is a calling.
It doesn’t have anything to do with comforts. Often times, it goes without it. But rooted in the calling is a spirit of adventure. An undying curiosity of what could be behind the obvious.
To sit down and talk without looking into the watch. Or worry about what will happen tomorrow.
To travel is to discover. To travel is to see the story in the bark of a tree. Or in the sprint of a rodent. Sometimes even what seems to be languorous routines of very common people.
Those that travel are truly blessed. For they often see what the best movies of the world try hard to bring alive : Life in its true variety and splendour.
So, tell me, how blessed are you?

Raj Ghat in New Delhi, is nothing more than a plank. If you see it that way.
Yet you have millions of people visiting the place. It’s the memorial of THE Mahatma, you see.

The place reeks simplicity. With an eternal flame serving as the only far coat of luxury.
You think of the man and you realise a few things.
You grow tall with your deeds. With your lifestyle. With your message.
And then when you add love to the equation, you continue to stand tall. Long after you lay down.
