New Year Reflections: Letting Go for a Fresh Start

A new year dawns, carrying new hopes, new possibilities. But for something new to emerge, something old must go.

What are you holding onto so tightly that it’s keeping you from transforming? What would change if you let it go?

Go ahead, ask yourself. Reflect. Release. Make space for the new.

Happy New Year! Here’s to happy times and new beginnings. Good luck meeting a new you—same time, next year.

A Pink Bicycle, A Rearview Mirror, and A Zillion Memories

You can’t drive forward while staring only at the rearview mirror. But every now and then, a glance back reveals pieces of you—the roads you’ve taken, the people who’ve shaped you, the moments that still linger.

This random pink bicycle, caught in my mirror at Nariman Point, wasn’t just a cycle. It was a portal—to childhood races, to friendships that felt endless, to laughter that echoed down familiar streets.

Memories don’t hold us back. They fuel us forward. They turn a mundane day into something meaningful.

What’s in your rearview mirror today?

What’s in Your Frame? A Lesson from Photography

What do you keep in the background? What do you focus on?

These are the first lessons a photographer learns. But over time, they prove just as valuable in business—and in life.

Years ago, while fumbling with my first camera, I met someone for whom the camera was an extension of his arm. He shared a simple truth:

“A good photographer learns what to include in the frame. You get better by learning to keep out EVERYTHING that doesn’t add to the picture.”

That lesson stuck. In photography. In work. In life.

Because clarity isn’t just about what you see—it’s about what you remove.

Tell me, how blessed are you?

Travel is a calling.
It doesn’t have anything to do with comforts. Often times, it goes without it. But rooted in the calling is a spirit of adventure. An undying curiosity of what could be behind the obvious.
To sit down and talk without looking into the watch. Or worry about what will happen tomorrow.
To travel is to discover. To travel is to see the story in the bark of a tree. Or in the sprint of a rodent. Sometimes even what seems to be languorous routines of very common people.
Those that travel are truly blessed. For they often see what the best movies of the world try hard to bring alive : Life in its true variety and splendour.
So, tell me, how blessed are you?

Raj Ghat in New Delhi, is nothing more than a plank. If you see it that way.
Yet you have millions of people visiting the place. It’s the memorial of THE Mahatma, you see.

The place reeks simplicity. With an eternal flame serving as the only far coat of luxury.
You think of the man and you realise a few things.
You grow tall with your deeds. With your lifestyle. With your message.
And then when you add love to the equation, you continue to stand tall. Long after you lay down.
