storytelling

Swabs of cotton, clothesline clips and a palette of colours. In the hands of kids, that’s all it took for magic to happen!

Engrossed kids. Sans TV. Sans tablets. Sans all digital devices. Such creative play with imagination.

All it takes is the belief in kids and some energetic play in their world. It is incredible what happens when we believe in the magic that lies within our kids.

Yes. Magic. That’s THE word!

The lion will lend a ride to the monkey. The same monkey who jumps three trees at one go. He needs a ride from the lion because the big buffallo is troubling him with his horns.

If you don’t make stories on the go to enthrall your kids, you are missing something. Go on, tell them a story and watch them react. Their imagination will jump all over the place and in its jumping it will teach you a thing or two.

The little miss’s imagination teaches me every day that reality can be as good or bad as we imagine it to be. When we string a different reality in our minds and tell ourselves a different story, there is a new tune to our old songs.

Go tell a good story and watch a kid tell one. The world is a new place when you give yourself into it.
