When we walk facing the Sun, we cast shadows. The shadows are not us but caused by light falling on us.

Our shadows are not us. In some sense, they are caused by us. Every small movement of the body falls with grotesque disproportion on the ground. In the most natural and connected of ways.

The shadows that fall on the ground are real. Visible and clear.

The shadows that fall in the mind are far more dangerous.  In Jungian psychology, it is about the unconscious and dark side of personality.

They get us to tell stories of ourselves and our situations. Those stories determine our reaction to situations and challenges. It is in those stories that our future rests.

So, what shadows fall in your mind?
