The majestic Cutty Sark. At one point of time, the fastest ship in the world until the steam ships came along.

What it must be to be like the #CuttySark. To have served well while being well and to inspire after being long gone! Timeless elegance stays timeless

Autumnal colours are a rich hue. A hue that is so rich that you wonder why death and withering has to be so colourful

And then you think that it perhaps is nature’s message to us. That it is all part of a large cycle!

The London Eye. Well, it is more than a mere wheel on the Thames. It is an ‘iconjc’ landmark as the guide would want me to believe.

He gives me a 5 minute spiel on what makes the tower special. I remain expressionless.
He shrugs his shoulders and says, ’ Well, at least it makes a pretty picture ’

The longest inhabited royal household! Windsor Castle.
Arches, whorls, wood, stone all stand in attention as they house articles of interest to a teeming set of visitors. Signifying grandeur, victory, military might and a rich narrative that spans a few generations. “The preferred weekend residence of the Queen” I am told. Well, everybody has their own preferences! So does royalty.

It has a history that is historical to say the least. It has heritage, culture, reeks stories and artefacts of several centuries. It would take several weeks to get a grip of the place.
And then someone calls up and says, ‘ah, the Abbey, that’s were the Royal marriages take place right? ’ reducing it to marriage hall in a swipe of a statement!

The Gribble bores into wood. With many legs and multiple teeth. So, in 2008 as part of the Yarmouth Pier Renovation project, (Yarmouth Pier is a wooden Pier, the longest in the British pIsles), they thought of the Gribble too. As an art installation.

So it sits there. Nothing more than a lump of concrete from behind. Showing its teeth and popping it’s eyes in the front . Its a seat, where you could go and sit atop it too. Perhaps in symbolic victory!
