How easy it is for us to mistake a ‘bend in the road’ for the ‘end of the road’. The trouble with views from a height is that they make several things clear. Like the difference between a bend and a end.

It isn’t the same when you are down there, negotiating the bend! The going gets tough and you have to be real slow and careful to take the curve, while working on the incline as well. Holding steady and sometimes wondering when these bends will end!

It is important to take the bends well. With the steady hand, a steely grip and a sure knowledge that the bend will end soon.

Bends are means to greater end!

He makes it look easy. A tad too easy. There are chains on his body all centred around his chest. At the end of the chain is a ball of fire. He goes on stage and swirls with the fire. The audience lets out a gasp, even as he goes on.

The ball of fire, stemming from his chest acting as his defence. I learn that this is an ancient martial art of Kerela, Kalari. Several centuries old, rich in its tradition and deadly in its techniques.

My mind wanders as the performance continuous. Its not any fault of the performance which is stellar.

It is my own fleeting mind which sees something else.

Anything that comes from deep within you, will be your best weapon. Your ball of fire. When you twirl with passion in whatever domain you choose and keep learning the techniques better, you too are a warrior.

The fire of passion can be the best weapon in the face of severe obstacles. That makes an unstoppable warrior and a sight for the eyes to consume.

May the fires within us keep us moving ahead!

Patterns. They are everywhere. For the trained eye, they are visible.

They tell a story. It is when you spot a pattern than you can luxuriously indulge in creativity. Weaving a new pattern is imagination at play. “The truth is outside of all fixed patterns” said Bruce Lee!

All of this is fine. I am repeatedly made aware of how important it is to stop and think of my own thought patterns.
I realise that the real fortune lies there

Across the bridge, beyond the river and from behind the mountains, the Sun emerged. Announcing a new day and another opportunity to begin anew.
That is all that’s required. One more chance to give it a go.

To lean in isn’t giving in.
To give way isn’t giving up

Sometimes falling back is needed to move forward.

It’s not always about growing tall. It’s always about living on. And finding ways of finding your Sun!

The pathways aren’t often straight lines. Sometimes they are not clear. Many other two mes, they need to be created.
The undergrowth to be cleared. Concrete and stone coming together to make a permanent path.
At other times, what’s required is walking through the undergrowth. A few more walks for a few more days and the pathways emerge.

That is the true story of several entrepreneurs. That is a true path breaking startup 🙂 #startup #start #entreprenuership #entrepreneur #pathways #love #travel #travelblogging #travelblogger #blogging #monsoon #Maharashtra #India #roadtrip #metaphors

Rural life teaches you things that urban life misses in its frenzy of reaching the next big thing, faster, better, cheaper.

Village life and its rhythms are so close to nature and its relatively predictable cadence. There is an acknowledgement of several aspects.
That it takes time to grow.
That it takes nurturing and caring to grow the farm

The belief in community.

That cheaper, faster, better is not always for the better.
Wish we pay more heed.

Catching the wind and riding the wave! Only a few can do it well and with ease. Those who do have a good time! 🙂 The first time I saw #KiteSurfing in action. It is something.
