Are You a Traveler or a Tourist? Spot the Difference!

The traveler sees what he sees. The tourist sees what he has come to see.

G.K. Chesterton

The traveler stumbles upon a hidden café, chats with a local, and ends up in a wedding procession. The tourist finds the café on Google, orders the ‘Top Rated’ dish, and leaves a review.

The traveler gets lost and calls it an adventure. The tourist gets lost and calls for an Uber.

One collects stories. The other collects selfies.

One sees what is. The other sees what was promised in the brochure.

Both return home. One just has better stories to tell.

Which one are you?
